Opening Prayer
Jesus help us to remember that your hands also bind and heal, and help us to count it all joy to bear fruit for you. But he was pierced for our transgressions; he was crushed for our iniquities; upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace, and with his wounds we are healed. -Isaiah 53:4-5 (Free expression of praise and thanksgiving to God) Confession of Sin Let the water and the blood from Thy wounded side which flowed, Be of sin the double cure, save from wrath and make me pure. -Hymn: Rock of Ages (Time of silence for confession of sin) The Words of Jesus In these days Jesus went out to the mountain to pray, and all night he continued in prayer to God. And when day came, he called his disciples and chose from them twelve, whom he named apostles. And he came down with them and stood on a level place, with a great crowd of his disciples and a great multitude of people from all Judea and Jerusalem and the seacoast of Tyre and Sidon, who came to hear him and to be healed of their diseases. And those who were troubled with unclean spirits were cured. It is through your power that I was created. Every breath I take, every morning I wake, and every moment of every hour, I live under your power. Father I ask you now to touch me with that same power. For if you created me from nothing, you can certainly recreate me. Fill me with the healing power of your spirit…Let the warmth of your healing love pass through my body to make new any unhealthy areas so that my body will function the way you created it to function.
